Shopping for the Shop, Part 2 September 10, 2012

I’ve been suffering from some pretty annoying insomnia, these past days. It’s all about the new shop! I’m getting hooked on ibuprofen p.m.!

I lay in bed at night, listening to the crickets sing outdoors in the night and think about nothing but the SHOP! Enough, already!

I’m heading over there shortly, to talk to the contractor and do a little measuring. But for now, I wanted to show you a couple of things I picked up over the weekend. It’s a good thing we don’t have any parties planned soon, because our dining room is in total disarray. Same thing goes for the garage and every inch of counter space in the kitchen. AnyWho, what do you think about these trays?

20120910-132053.jpg I found this decorative plate hanger at an estate sale on Friday and think it will work out great, to hold platters and trays that I have for sale.

I found this round tray to be so interesting, with the Bakalite handles.
As a true blue scarf lover, I love the colors and pattern and stitching in this Indian fabric scarf.

I don’t know if anyone will find these thread spools to be as interesting as I did, but I think they’re pretty wonderful.

And last, but not least, are the silver and gray painted pinecones. Of course I sprayed them all by myself. It took a lot of skill, but I was up for the challenge!

Hopefully this little taste of treasures, will spark your interest. As you can see, it’s a pretty diverse selection of odds and ends. Hopefully, it will all add up to an interesting shop.

Finally, thanks to all of you who have stopped by the paint store on line! As promised, I will keep you posted, the moment product arrives!

Stay tuned and sweet dreams!,
Barbara

I love the thread spindles, I think they are cool. Try a bottle of wine before bed, it helps to slow the mind! 🙂

a warm bubble bath and some wine….like I can talk I am a nite owl..up at 3AM to hit the road for my drive to see my mom…
Ok girl Love the items you picked up, you said keep those ideas coming..some of the silver trays that have seen better days…not as special as a few of these…but those in rough shape….that chalkboard paint…yeap and some burlap or something as a bow tied to handles…and then a wedding or anniversary message…then make fun items for a wedding table ….and your paint how are you going to show the paint colors…This was my idea if I had orderred. but I have to wait…funds ran low family first…anyway….if you have room …I love the spindles…but paint also mix the paints to show how you can change the tones…and I thought cool to hang in a circle like a color wheel…ok I am telling myself to go to sleep
