Our little get-away…

Thanks to my sister, Susan, inviting all the sibs to Santa Barbara, for a wedding reception, Mr. Wonderful and I made our second road trip down the coast, in twenty five years!  What?!

It was a wonderful time and most of us behaved ourselves!

Thankfully, we split the drive down, in two, staying in Santa Cruz and having a memorable dinner at the Shadowbrook, in Capatola.  If you ever get to the area, we highly recommend this gem, first opened in 1947.

It’s always good to get home, especially after an eight hour drive!  The amazing thing is how two people can create so much laundry?

I saw a lovely woman, walking the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, last week, wearing one of these canvas sun hats.  They’re now at the shop, in a variety of colors.  I love the wide brim, how comfortable they are and that they are nearly indestructible!  Perfect for travel or to have handy when out in the garden.
