Our New (Vintage) Alabaster Accent Lights August 19, 2011
You may recall about a month ago, when I purchased alabaster sconces/light covers, from One King’s Lane to replace two nondescript sconces in our family room. At the time, Mr. Wonderful didn’t understand why I would spend a fair amount of money on something I couldn’t see in person before buying, or return if I didn’t like. I had to admit, it was a fair argument. I hate it when logic gets in the way!
But, I closed my eyes, plugged my nose and took the plunge! They arrived about 3 weeks later, packed to perfection, exactly as described. I was thrilled.
After sitting on the counter for a week or two, Mr. Wonderful, my in-house electrician, installed the new lights.
We (he) removed these lights (now added to the disaster zone, AKA garage)
Another risk has been faced head on. I shopped, I purchased, I conquered!
By the way, can you pick out the picture that was taken with a “real” camera? The others were all taken with my ever-so-handy iPhone. It looks like I should bite the bullet and use a big-girl camera all the time! Dang!
Do what you love this weekend!
HonestLy, no, I cannot yell which photos ate from the iPhone and which was the camera! Annoys me that I spent a lot on a camera last year when I could have used an iPhone!

Oh my goodness, my typos…sorry
Good for you! You can’t go wrong with One King’s Lane and now that you have made your first purchase like this I dare say nothing can hold you back now. They look lovely by the way.
Next up a good camera…I recommend a Canon.
Congratulations on a job well done.
I never got hooked on the home shopping networks on tv, but this is another animal, and I’m going to have to use all of my self control to stay away from this site! Beautiful toddies!
I’m glad you can’t tell the difference, Stacy. I still think you made a great investment in your new camera!
Wow! Those new sconces look gorgeous, in all the photos (but yes, very obvious which one was the real camera). Great find. Hmmmm, where do you order a Mr. Wonderful Electrician with Logic, no less? ha ha.
