Inexpensive Art for Our Tahoe House January 12, 2015
I’m always a sucker for a great deal and right now, Arron’s Art is having their one cent sale. Buy one frame and get the second frame for a penny.
We love the old Tahoe look and feel. I’m striving for a very family friendly, light filled home, with pieces of Tahoe history thrown in.
I love the signs we make, using old drying trays, from a central valley farm. While I did find myself buying a wonderful original of a mother bear and her cub, the place won’t be filled with bear motif! A little of that, goes a long way!

As you’d imagine, there will be plenty of pieces of painted furniture, especially a sturdy coffee table, that you can put your feet up on, without concern.
The reclaimed wood floors will be installed the last week of this month and then, we’ll come downstairs and finish with a new kitchen, bath and more flooring.
I keep reminding myself to enjoy the process, be patient and live in the present. Some things are harder than others to learn!
Stay tuned!
I love the pictures Barbara, and I especially love following along as you progress on your Lake Tahoe home. What fun you will have with the family there. It’s nice that it’s not too far away so you can go often. I’m looking around the house to see what furniture piece I will paint next. You’ll see me soon coming in to buy paint and check out those old drying trays (so cool!) Hugs to you all at the store…

Good to hear from you Jonelle! I’m starting to see light at the end of the tunnel! See you soon!
I love reading your Tahoe house updates! The black & white artwork is perfect! I am certain your wonderful esthetic & hard work will be evident! Enjoy it!
Thank you, Lendy! I can’t wait to put actual furniture in these rooms! We’re fixing up a lot of old pieces, so it will be fun to see how it all comes together! Take care.
