Another Fun Packed Day… August 25, 2011

I know you’re all crazy to know what’s been going on here today. I’m sure Mr. Wonderful is dying to know that while I was leaving Target, with all of my “bargains”, I managed to meet a darling young lady in the parking lot…bumpers first!

But rest assured, as I was looking for bed pillows to add a bit more color in the guest room, I found two beautiful blue velvet pillows on clearance, saving $5 per pillow! (yes, I know that the pillow in the middle really doesn’t work) Let’s see, body work, minus my stellar $10 savings, equals….

Well, now that that little mishap has been disclosed to the “Mister”, let’s move on. I got to thinking, after getting my daily dose of Stacy at Conspicuous Style talking about chandeliers yesterday, that maybe I’d put the ceiling light fixture, currently in the guest room…

Into the butler’s pantry, replacing the light which lost its glass dome last week. Yep, it just magically dropped from the fixture last week. Amazing. (yes, the shelves are a mess, but don’t look there!)

Then I could get Stacy’s (of Conspicuous Style) beautiful little chandelier, she got at Overstocked.com, and put it in my guest room! Yes? No?

Then, to top it off, Kristie, the Decoroligist, had a great post this week about ceiling medallions, to go with the beautiful chandeliers. My question to you, is: do you think that Stacy’s chandelier, along with a ceiling medallion, would be too much “glam for my little guest room? I guess they put them in walk in closets, so why not my guest room? Or should I just leave well enough alone?

Enjoy your day!

I have found so many great light fixtures from Overstock.com. I am just in the process of ordering bamboo shades for my house. I have been buying from them for years…but here is something I didn’t’ know, Overstock is owned by Mormons in Salt Lake. My sister lived there for a year and said they LOVE to shop, so it makes sense they have this terrific site. Everything comes so perfectly wrapped and organized…never an issue with anything. BIG LOVE!

What are we going to do when everything’s done? Start all over again? Thanks for always saying hi!

i hope Delray Beach is nowhere near a hurricane! My Dad was a meteorologist in the Air Force years ago and flew around looking at the hurricanes, all before the fancy technology we have today. Anyway, I’ve lived through a fair number of hurricanes. Nothing serious though. Take care!

    Barbara,
I say go for it in the guest room! Sorry about your car – I did the same thing at an estate sale a few years ago where I got a great little bargain. Cost me $1200 – ugh. Thank you for the mention and link 🙂
