Deal of the Week! June 3, 2012
Greetings!
It has been a busy and productive weekend! There were flea markets and yard sales out the yazoo and I only hit a handful of them. Mr. Wonderful scored double points this morning, when he took me to a stellar sale! It’s where I found “The Deal of the Week”! I really shouldn’t show her to you without being completely dressed, but here she is…
She’s a big girl, about 3′ high and I can’t wait to see what she looks like decked out with a shade! $3.00! That’s right, three dollars! I don’t know if I have a spot for her here, but someone will love her!
Now onto the rest of the loot…
Nesting tables that need a little love.
I like the lines on the base of this table. She’ll be cute with a fun color of paint on her.
This mid century maple number is pretty interesting. Wonder what color I should paint her? Any suggestions?
This sweet little bench was probably somebody’s woodshop project.
My favorite of them all, is this table with a wonderful hexagonal top on it.
With all of these pieces that need painting, plus what I have over at the shop, I need to stay away from the yard sales for a while! Easier said than done!
How was your weekend? Wonderful, I hope!
P.S.: I attempted my third pillow in three days. It was not a success. It’s a pillow made out of a man’s shirt. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it a one and a half. I guess two out of three isn’t bad. 🙂
I tried jazzing it up with some canvas, but that didn’t help.
What great finds! I love the hexagonal table and the little bench. I can see why you chose those. You are going to be knee deep in paint for a while girl.
You had quite a successful weekend. Can’t wait to see the lamp and the bamboo nest of tables…fabulous!!
Yep! This weekend was full of good things! I sold a big round dining table that took up a lot of space (thank you, thank you, to my guardian angel!) and now I have more goodies to work on! Hope all is good in your neighborhood!
Great finds I can’t wait to see them finished.
Cynthia
Like I said, I had better stop shopping and get to work!
Thanks so much for stopping by!,
Barbara
That lamp looks like it has real potential. Can’t wait to see what you do with the funky little double decker mid-century table. Definitely a successful hunting trip 🙂
I agree on the lamp! My sister is in the very early stages of planting a vineyard and the grapes would be a nice touch for her tasting room. There’s a lot of work between here and there, so we’ll see. Thanks so much for saying “hi”!
You scored, great finds!
I love the lamp and all other pieces, you have a great eye for treasures.
