October is always a big month around The Treasured Home, because it’s dedicated to me and my birthday! Hold the applause…it’s a couple of weeks away, but of course, a girl has to plan!

It’s also the weekend we usually spend in San Francisco for the Navy’s Fleet Week. Mr. Wonderful and his Office Manager, Tyler…

Are down there with friends, but I’ve had a massive cold this week and have stayed put. But if you like very loud, very fast planes, flying in formation, San Francisco is the place to be!

Watching the show reminds me how proud I am of my country and it’s people who serve it.

Before heading off to another favorite city, New York, I’ve been buying and planning for my new shop, within my favorite shop, Veranda Antiques, on Palm Avenue, in Carmichael!

I’ve always loved shopping and now I’ll have a place to sell all the goodies I love, that I hope others will love enough to purchase for their own treasured homes! I’ve got my eyes “peeled” for silver, crystal, old or old looking art, small accent furniture and home accessories. My shop will open shortly after Thanksgiving, so stay tuned for the Grand Opening!

While we’re in NYC, we’ll get to see my “baby girl” play that gentle and loving sport of rugby for West Point.

Yes, it’s a tiny little picture I stole from her Facebook page, but she’s the one on the right that looks like she’s ready to pounce on the poor kid on the ground! Or are they on the same team? I’m clueless, as you can tell!

Yep, that’s my princess, the blonde in the bottom left of the shot! Just love her!
