Temptations at Veranda Antiques January 5, 2012
Well, I had the pleasure of working at Veranda today and as usual, had a ball! I always meet the nicest people, including my new BFF, Amy!
The only problem, if you can call it a problem, is that I usually end up being the best customer if the day. So be it. If that’s as risqué as my life gets, I’m in pretty safe waters!
Today’s favorite acquisition is this wonderful fur muff that I’m going to turn into a small pillow. I learned this little trick from a favorite blogger at for the love of a house who has several of these little pillows in her home.
While you’re here, I’ll show you around the rest of the shop. You might see something new that you just have to have !
I want this little cabinet! Not sure what for!
I want this pottery, too!
My little Ironstone collection! Can you believe it’s all about 150 years old? Wonder what I’ll look like at 150?!
And last but not least, my marvelous pillow collection!
Well, I’m off to a design consult, so see you next time. Thanks for stopping by!
Cheers!
I love the pottery, too especially the one by the green one.
Yep! Aren’t they pretty? Thanks for stopping by again, Kim!
I must stop by sometime when I’m in Sacramento! I do really like the picture and the teapot . How big is the picture and how much?
Thx!
Hi Kevin, the picture is approximately 2×3′. I’ll get back to you with exact measurements and pricing. Thanks for stopping by and yes, let me know when you’re in town. I’d love to be sure to be there!
“I usually end up being the best customer” .. you crack me up! You got me smiling on the is gorgeous Texas afternoon!
dee 🙂
Barbara! New follower here! I am in love with that white cabinet, too. Now I have TWO places to visit the next time I’m in Sacramento, The Treasured Home AND Veranda! Wishing you a wonderful 2012!
Welcome, Tami! I know it’s confusing, but the shop is called Veranda and I’m a shopkeeper there. There are about 6 of us that share space in a little cottage. My blog and design business are called The Treasured Home. Veranda is the only place you need to go, although Carmichael has a fair number of vintage and antique shops. Call next time you’re in town. I’d enjoy meeting you!
love the pics,I had that exact muff. I decided to give it to my Niece,Courtney has my mom’s Lillie Rueben ivory swing coat, narrow to the waist then swings in a full circle, she wore it heading to her honeymoon in December with the Muff. The Pic is so Hollywood dreamy, so I thought the Muff needed to be with the coat that Courtney received from my mom…she is the Fashionista…the mantle has been handed over to her from me.
