Storewide Savings through July 17th July 6, 2022
Hello, gorgeous!
I hope you’re doing splendidly!
At one point, I considered continuing our sale until gas was selling under $6 a gallon, here in the Golden State. Then, I decided that a month long sale was longer than usual, so here we are!
But, the good news is that our sale will continue through next week, Sunday, July 17th!
Gladys and I came to work, dressed alike today! We both love these red slacks, from Slimsation. Talk about comfy! We have all sizes in stock, except size 8. Who doesn’t need a pair of red pants, I ask!?
Darlene’s mama’s hope chest got a new-do, this last week. Finished today and we all think it’s a great update!
Great detail and like new condition! Just $250!
I’d hate to think about all of the moth holes my sweaters have suffered, over the years. Maybe, if I had a cedar lined chest, life would have been different.
Up at the lake, we decided to give our old teak table some love. Cleaning and power sanding didn’t remove the stain and years of product applied, to this poor darling. So, a flash of brilliance came my way and the end result is note-worthy!
Lots of folks are stripping/bleaching furniture, using Easy Off Oven Cleaner! So, here’s what I did to this cleaned and sanded table top:
I sprayed the surface with full strength Easy Off. (I understand the low odor version doesn’t work as well.)
I worked outside, in the shade. You DON’T want to try this indoors! After covering the surface with oven cleaner, (wearing gloves), I let it sit for about an hour. Then with a bucket of warm water and Dawn liquid soap, wearing gloves, I used a stiff scrub brush and a wide plastic putty knife, to scrape off the muck. Then, with a rag and a clean bucket of water and a hose, I wiped down the table.
We let it dry thoroughly, for a few days, before applying tongue oil, which is an excellent protective moisture barrier. Voila!
Sister, Carolyn, took this picture on the 4th of July, sitting on our new shared pier. Life is good! I hope your weekend was a good one, too!
God bless America!
XO, Barbara
Love the picture. Just got home from Tahoe myself – been there enjoying the Celebrity Golf at Edgewood. The lake was gorgeous and we took full advantage.
You look so happy – great picture.
