Saturday’s Chalk Class Includes a Free Lamp Make-Over! June 16, 2014

Local thrift store managers are probably scratching their heads, wondering why there’s this sudden interest in old brass table lamps!  Well, here’s the story…

Amy Howard One-Step

Last Thursday night, we had our first Introduction to Furniture Painting class, featuring Amy Howard’s One-Step Paint, using lamps from the thrift store!  All the principals of furniture painting can be learned on a lamp, just as well as they can, on a piece of wood molding, but this is much more fun…for you.  For me, I get to go thrift store shopping, which truthfully, is not my favorite past-time.  Go figure!

The only challenge is that there is not an infinite supply of paint worth lamps, to be found!  I have enough lamps for this Saturday’s Introductory Furniture Painting Class, but after that, we may need to change the class to BYOL!

While painting a chunky piece of molding works, it’s much more fun, to actually take something usable home!

So, while it lasts, there are a few more spots available, for Saturday’s class…lamps included!

Register on line at www.thetreasuredhome.com or call the shop to make your $49 class reservation!

See you soon!  Don’t be a stranger!
