This Saturday, we’ll host our first Image Transfer class, using Amy Howard’s Copy Cat. What I like about this product, is that you can use it with both ink jet and laser jet prints. In the past, other products have required laser prints. Since I don’t have a laser printer at the shop, this caused me to go else where, in search of a laser printer. Bummer. It’s really a lot of fun! You can use the product on fabric, wood or canvases, as we’ll do on Saturday. Students will create three transferred image canvases that they’ll be able to…
Our friends atGood Day Sacramento, Ch. 31, are joining us this Sunday, as we show you how easy it is to paint out-dated brass chandeliers and to help us celebrate our Harvest Party! They’ll be at the shop, as we open, to air live, during the 10 a.m. hour. If you can’t be there in person, watch, on Channel 31! Nah has been our reporter, from the station and she dives right in, to try things out. Try and join us if you can. We’ll raffle of a private painting class, have refreshments, new arrivals from our vendors and my small stash…

Greetings, friends, As you may know, I love traveling around Europe and seeing the world. Mr. Wonderful doesn’t share this interest, so for the last ten years, I’ve been traveling with small groups of like-minded women, every couple of years. This time, I decided to travel with a guide, Jennette, who would show me the flea markets of France. Since the Paris markets are rather pricey, we opted for traveling around central France, in Montmorrillon. While shopping and shipping furniture home is very expensive, I’m not going that route. At least not yet! Believe me, I was very tempted! This…

Last September, our first vendors moved into the shop. It was a good move! We now have six lovely creatives on board and their unique perspectives add more interest to the shop. Since the Tahoe Fixer is almost fixed, I thought it would be a great place for a get-away. I think it’s safe to say we all had a great time! After lunch at Sunnyside, we arrived at the house and unpacked. Everyone got their room assignments and a tour. It was fun to show off all the vintage pieces that had either been painted, or for sale at the shop. Both Jill…

Even better, Zina loves chalk style paints as much…
