Well, hello there, beautiful! I hope you had a sweet Father’s Day and are staying cool, now that summer is officially here…in a big way! Our new workshop schedule is online! Check it out here! Since our Vintage Window Workshop always fills up so quickly, we’ve scheduled two dates for July! You’ll also find a couple of new workshops, we think you’ll enjoy! Some of you wanted to take the Decoupaged Tennies workshop, so that’s back on August 6th!   We’re already planning our fall and holiday classes.  Gosh!  It hurts my head to think that far in advance! Back in stock……

Back at the shop!

By Barbara Bussey | June 13, 2022 |

What I did during my summer vacation Covid quarantine! Hello, friend!, Well, here I am, back in the saddle, after Bob and I recovered from Covid.  I’m sure you were wondering, so let me tell you all about it! On second thought, let’s not!  Just know about Paxlovid, should you test positive for Covid.  If you catch it early enough (within five days of visible symptoms) you can get this prescription, which is supposed to shorten the duration and lessen the symptoms.  Thanks to Linda, my shop sister, for telling us about this option. For me, the worst part, besides congestion, was…

This week at the shop!

By Barbara Bussey | June 1, 2022 |

How was your Memorial Day weekend? Mr. Wonderful and I had a relaxing few days at the lake.  It was colder and windier than I had hoped, so kayaking wasn’t an option. But we did the second best thing and visited a number of garage sales in the neighborhood! Of course there were the unfortunate drive-by’s, that didn’t warrant a stop.  But there were a couple that were worth a visit.  Nice people, too! You may see a couple of these treasures at the shop, should you stop by soon! This stop was probably my favorite!  I found several goodies,…

Help wanted, in our workshop!

By Barbara Bussey | May 30, 2022 |

I may be looking for a needle in a hay stack, but here goes! You know we have the worlds best team, at The Treasured Home! They keep the place humming along.  Thank goodness!   Since clothing has become so popular at the shop, we no longer have anyone with the time or passion to really give our workshop the love and attention it deserves. And frankly, after almost ten years, I’m looking to lighten my load.   So here are the qualities my dream angel should possess: – Team player.  We have a cohesive team, that has two goals.…

Look who’s here!

By Barbara Bussey | May 26, 2022 |

Hello, friend. I can’t begin to imagine the challenges and sorrow that meets these families, when they wake up today, tomorrow or the next day. Of course, I’m talking about the families in Texas.  How will they begin to cope?  I can’t begin to imagine.  I heard on a program today that 40 years ago, there were fewer gun regulations and more guns, but there was very little of the violence we see today.  It’s all so very complicated, but it needs our attention.  It needs to be a priority.  Not just for the week after a tragedy like this…

How about taking a new class, on Sunday?

By Barbara Bussey | May 19, 2022 |

Hi! It’s me again! I wanted to remind you about a new class, that I think will be lots of fun. It’s being taught for the first time, using the Iron Orchid Designs “Frames 2” mould and Amazing Resin, (instead of paper clay). In the past, I’ve always made moulds with paper clay.  There are many great things to love about paper clay…but wait until you try Amazing Resin. For me, it was a game changer! With resin, the moulds dry within 10 minutes.  They don’t curl, crack or shrink.  I’m hooked! You can sign up Here!    While most of our…

Thank goodness for A/C! We had a wonderful turnout for our Customer Appreciation Day! We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did! Tregae’s Charcuterie Demonstration was a big hit!  Thank you Tregae, for all of the wonderful tips and tricks, you shared! Charcuterie is a wonderful way to feed a lot of friends, with a dramatic presentation, that can be prepared in advanced…

Getting ready for our Customer Appreciation Day, this Saturday!

By Barbara Bussey | May 10, 2022 |

Hey, girl! I hope all is well, in your world, this week and that you had a wonderful Mother’s Day! Mr. Wonderful asked me how I wanted to spend the day and I said, let’s go to the Sacramento Antique Fair! I hadn’t been in forever!  It was a beautiful morning and I had a blast!  Unlike the Alameda Antique Fair, you can walk the entire venue, in a couple of hours.  (I’ve never gotten through half of the Alameda show.  It’s huge, but a great lots of fun things to see.) I’ve spent the last couple of days at…
