Look who’s here!

By Barbara Bussey | May 26, 2022 |

Hello, friend. I can’t begin to imagine the challenges and sorrow that meets these families, when they wake up today, tomorrow or the next day. Of course, I’m talking about the families in Texas.  How will they begin to cope?  I can’t begin to imagine.  I heard on a program today that 40 years ago, there were fewer gun regulations and more guns, but there was very little of the violence we see today.  It’s all so very complicated, but it needs our attention.  It needs to be a priority.  Not just for the week after a tragedy like this…

How about taking a new class, on Sunday?

By Barbara Bussey | May 19, 2022 |

Hi! It’s me again! I wanted to remind you about a new class, that I think will be lots of fun. It’s being taught for the first time, using the Iron Orchid Designs “Frames 2” mould and Amazing Resin, (instead of paper clay). In the past, I’ve always made moulds with paper clay.  There are many great things to love about paper clay…but wait until you try Amazing Resin. For me, it was a game changer! With resin, the moulds dry within 10 minutes.  They don’t curl, crack or shrink.  I’m hooked! You can sign up Here!    While most of our…

Getting ready for our Customer Appreciation Day, this Saturday!

By Barbara Bussey | May 10, 2022 |

Hey, girl! I hope all is well, in your world, this week and that you had a wonderful Mother’s Day! Mr. Wonderful asked me how I wanted to spend the day and I said, let’s go to the Sacramento Antique Fair! I hadn’t been in forever!  It was a beautiful morning and I had a blast!  Unlike the Alameda Antique Fair, you can walk the entire venue, in a couple of hours.  (I’ve never gotten through half of the Alameda show.  It’s huge, but a great lots of fun things to see.) I’ve spent the last couple of days at…

Always Never Done

By Barbara Bussey | April 26, 2022 |

Hello again! It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve checked in! Where does the time go? That’s a silly question!  I know that there are some of you that have somehow managed to find 36 hours in a day…while the rest of us, get a measly 24 hours a day.  You know who you are! Girlfriend time… Friendship is a true blessing.  While I tend to over-book my to-do list, the older I get, the more I understand friendship isn’t to be taken for granted. My counselor-sister once compared friendship to a bank account.  If you don’t make deposits,…

News from the shop!

By Barbara Bussey | April 5, 2022 |

Hello again! Yes, it’s me again. 🙂 I was at the shop this afternoon, trying to make some headway on the zillion pieces of clothing that arrived.  When what to my wondering eyes should appear, but my little sister! Miraculously, she offered to help hang these adorable pieces of fun.  If she lived in town, I’d put her to work more often!  Thanks, Susan! Seriously though… This is a new line and I love it.  I think it’s perfect for Sacramento because it’s a light weight poly/rayon blend that’s machine washable and lay flat to dry.  I also think it’s…
