Halloween Decor Inspiration September 11, 2012

Greetings, dear lovelies!

You may or may not be interested to know that I slept like a boulder last night, thank goodness…without ibuprofen p.m., even!

Just because I am obsessing over working on the new shop, I have no thoughts or energy to create Halloween masterpieces, like some of you…so why even try?! While I was blog hopping this morning, at the Farmhouse Porch, she had her Cowgirl Up! Party going on …

…where I met Gwen, at the appropriately named Gwen Moss Blog! Now, Gwen and I haven’t really formally met yet, but I’d guess that she has two or three, adoring young children, who think she rules the universe, since she really knows how to decorate for Halloween!

Not only can she decorate for Halloween, she can create cool graphics, like the one above!

To see more of what Gwen’s got up her sleeve, be sure to check out both of these great blogs!

Now, y’all (that’s southern for “you all”) know Kim at Savvy Southern Style,? Well, anyway, I visited one of her sponsors, Lumiere Candles, since the chandelier for my new shop window was looking a little naked!

You would think I could find attractive candle covers at places like Lamps Plus, or Lowes. Nope, nothing there but bright white, plain things that no more resemble a candle than I do! So I went to Lumiere’s and found the solution!

For $4.00 each, I got the exact size I needed! What a selection! They also have real wax candle covers in stock, so be sure to check them out if you have naked or poorly dressed candles on your chandelier! (In case you’re wondering, the kitchen plate rack is for the shop sink, to dry my painting gear! Pretty, eh?)

Well, Wonder Dog is asking for his morning stroll, so I had better get a move on! I’ll be saying a prayer for those who lost their lives on 9/11, and the families they left behind.

Enjoy your day!,
Barbara

Aren’t those candle covers great? So glad you like them. They aren’t a sponsor. They are just offering my readers a discount.

I don’t decorate for Halloween inside, but I do outside for the trick or treaters. The blogger you featured really does a great job with her Halloween crafts! Thanks for sharing it.

What a fun post! So much inspiration. I see that you live in Carmichael. I lived there while attending American River College years ago. 🙂
