Great Restaurant Design September 21, 2011
Half of the fun of dining out is enjoying the ambience of a place. They say we eat with our eyes and today, mine were feasting at Cafeteria, at 15th and L, here in Sacramento. I know it’s a crazy name for a nice restaurant, but what do I know?! Located 2 blocks from the state Capitol, Jerry Brown was no where in sight. He’s probably back at the Capitol, looking for extra tax revenues. (good luck with that!).
This lovely bookshelf is what you see when you first walk in the door. Staff is friendly and professional.
I particularly like the industrial looking tables, with legs made from steel pipes. I bet Mr. Wonderful could build something like that!
There was fun outdoor seating too, but considering this week’s blistering temps, we opted for staying cool indoors.
Oh, by the way, the food was great too. Be sure to share the banana cream pie for dessert! Perfection!
Love the outdoor treatment…will have to file that away.
Good morning, dear Jane! Thanks for saying “hello”!
Looks great! I just bought my daughter a table like that at the Brooklyn flea market.
Wow! I’ve been to the Brooklyn flea market! It’s probably been 3 years, but it was great. Wonderful food, too!
But did you go in the bathroom? That’s quite the experience too! If not, go back next time.
Yes! The sink area, separated by glass is unisex! Oh my!
That industrial table is wonderful! How fun to see a restaurant so many miles from home. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog for a visit Barbara!
