Gorgeous Living Rooms October 25, 2011
If life gave me a do-over, I’d gather my courage and build a home with a great big, great room! Beamed ceilings, soaring steel windows, with doors that open wide, to a beautifully designed outdoor room and lush greenery, everywhere.
But since most of our homes have both living rooms and family rooms, I thought I’d pull together some of the favorites I’ve collected over the last year. As you’ll see, several of these lovelies belong to you talented bloggers! Forgive me if I miss giving credit to anyone. In many cases, I know your homes as well as I know my own friends’ homes, here in town! That’s the magic of blogging! Well, here goes…
Yes, that’s our seldom used living room. I need to find the secret to making it an often used room.
This lovely room belongs to Alison, from The Polo House.
I love how cozy and colorful this room is!
This room has back to back sofas, with a console table and lamps in-between. Love this look and it requires a BIG room!

If I’m not mistaken, this stunning room belongs to Stacy at Conspicuous Style!
I think Mary Ann, at Classic Casual Home, took this photo of her neighbors gorgeous home. Mary Ann’s home is a work of art, by itself!
I could post picture after picture, of our blogging community’s beauty and many blessings! You are all so talented and give your homes and those who live there so much TLC! But, I’d better sign off soon, because we have an early flight to Washington DC tomorrow, followed by a week in the “Big Apple”, where we’ll take a side trip to West Point for a football game and get to see my daughter (yay!). I’ll be sending pictures your way, so stay tuned!
Gorgeous pictures! Enjoy the trip! 🙂
I can feel that you are in need of a change. The choice you have shown are so different from the living room in your home. Maybe
it is time next year to take the plunge and make your home look like one of your dream rooms. They are so clean and fresh looking…life is short, do it I say!
So many gorgeous living rooms and yours is stunning. Adore the sofa table!!
I was going to comment about how beautiful your room is, and it IS, but then i scrolled down and saw mine and am so touched that you included me in this amazing group! Some of my all time favorites are in this post, so for you to put me in the same post is just too flattering! Thank you!
Stacy
Thanks for stopping by, ladies!
Oh my heavens!
Thanks so much for including my room, Barbara! It is hardly worthy of the ranks of some of these other gorgeous rooms. Wow!
I have a question, for your my fellow interior designer friend! Can you tell me, whose chair is that in the photo right below the photo of my LR… the small unusually shaped chair on the left side, white with wood legs exposed and nailhead trim — white upholstery.
It is so handsome! I need two for a job I am working on! Let me know if you recognize it. Thanks so much.
xx
Alison
Those chairs came from a “mystery source”. I don’t know who designed that room, but they are wonderful! Anyone?
Hi Barbara – I appreciate the complement of including my work in this post, but I would appreciate credit. The 10th image down, the gold living room should have the following credit attached: Design by Linda Merrill. Photo ©Michael J. Lee
