Feeling festive at the shop! October 11, 2022
Hello, darling!
I hope you’re enjoying these beautiful fall days. I walk Micah in the morning, around our neighborhood and breath in the cool, clean air. The birds are chirping, the squirrels are taunting Micah and all is good in the world. Sometimes, I take my phone and listen to a podcast…a daily devotional, called “First 15”. It’s a great way to start my day and I hope you’ll check it out.
I got an early start this morning. Waking at a ridiculous time of 4 a.m., I lyed there for another 20 or thirty minutes and finally gave up. Frankly, I should wake early more often, because I get so much done!
Lying in bed this morning, I was fretting about decorating the shop with Christmas inventory..wondering what I could do to make it special. The girls had done the “dirty work” and unpacked it for me. The rest was up to me.
I got busy and by noon, I had the tables cleared of product and things were looking relatively festive. I patted myself on the back and moved on to another task, when bam!, I remembered there was still a lot of product we had checked in, priced and stored in one of the fitting rooms! Almost to the ceiling! I had to laugh at myself…once again. Thankfully, by the end of the day, calm had returned to The Treasured Home!
Our signature holiday Blue Spruce Soy Candles, are starting to sell. A true sign that the holidays aren’t far off!
Besides holiday additions, we’re packed with tons of tunics, jeans, puffy vests, cashmere and fun jewelry! If you’re one of our admirable early Christmas shoppers, my hat’s off to you!
Mark your calendar!…
Wine and women, gathered for an important cause…shopping! Come help us celebrate our 10th year and check out our expanded workshop space!
Until we meet again, I’m sending good thoughts your way!
XO, Barbara
I love the displays, all is looking a little bit like Christmas!
A day late and a dollar short! Thanks for your note. Hope you and your family are adjusting to the ‘new normal’. Love, Barbara
Everything looks so beautiful , I can almost smell the blue spuce candles through the blog page. I wish I could be at the shop for the 10th anniversary open house. Its truly a joy to walk around the store and take in the sites and smells of the holidays. Its a great place to be. Its also the best place to shop in the Fair oaks/ Carmichael area .
I enjoy the blogs darlin….
