Double-Love (In both a partner and a paint!) April 14, 2013
Good morning!
How was your weekend? Wonderfully fun, I hope!
Saturday’s Milk Paint class was so fun! Great conversation and painting. How can you go wrong?
I stepped away briefly during class and returned to Heidi, lusting after the chalk based paint samples. She was ready to give up on milk paint! Why? Because it didn’t cover as completely as chalk based or latex paint. Especially when painting a light color, like Grain Sack, over a dark brown chair!
I knew it was time for an intervention, for Heidi and her chair!
I said, “Just try the dark wax. It will change everything!”
And behold! I have no stinking picture to show you! You’ll just have to trust me, when I say that it turned out beautifully!
But, that isn’t what I was going to tell you about.
I started this blog post, wanting to tell you about a customer, at The Treasured Home. She was visiting a friend, here in town, from the middle of nowhere, in Nevada.
She had purchased the Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint, on line, in the past, to paint a hutch, in “Tricycle” red. She proudly shared her finished project!
And then, filled with her pretty treasures!
This was her first milk paint project and I think it turned out beautifully!
But the best part of the story is that she moved to her home in Nevada after growing up in Southern California a number of years ago. And it wasn’t until she was 60 years old, before she met and married her true love!
I love stories with a happy ending, don’t you?
By all means, never give up on love! Or milk paint! Just call me, if you ever need an emergency paint intervention! 🙂
Happy Monday!
Love stories with happy endings…both of them! 😉
Oh…great painted piece and great story….true love on all accounts!…Have a beautiful week Barbara!
Oh Barbara – what a treat to see my hutch on your site. And I’m tickled that you enjoyed my little love story! So happy to have gotten to meet you last week and so excited to try my new paint products! If I have success, I’ll send you photos!
Hello Susie,
Keep those pictures coming!! Now that summer’s coming, you can get busy-busy! I saw Judy last night, who kindly let me steal her cabinet doors, for an upcoming cabinet painting class! She’s a sweetheart!
Take care of yourself!,
Barbara
