Creating Art for less than $10 August 28, 2012
If you’re looking for a great gift idea, a way to display family photos or just need an inexpensive alternative wall art, check this out!
If you remember, last spring, I traveled to Italy. Venice was one of my favorite stops along the way! It seemed like every turn I made, brought a prettier site then before. I especially loved the canals and photographed every one of them, I think!
So, I finally got around to framing a few of my favorites. First of all, I picked up this frame at Michael’s that had already been pre-matted to show four, 5 x 7 photographs.
The frame was on sale for less than $10! And even better, all I had to do was print out my photographs and place them where they showed me to put them. No guess work involved! My kind of project!
As a side note, please know that I am not a professional photographer. I do not edit photographs. What you see is what you get!
I’m not sure if it’s really noticeable, but I use watercolor paper to print my pictures on. It gives the photograph a nice texture, whether you are putting the photograph in a frame, or in a scrapbook.
Not bad for $10, right? Do you have any photographs to frame?
love the wreath, a welcome to a beautful home, the pics from Italy are a delight, and using watercolor paper is brilliant
I just had a thought…Are you selling all your doors….Have yu seen those engineer copys of pictures people have decopaged onto signs and dressers…bet you have some great pics…the doors with several inserts would be cool, with a pic inset into each door insert…hmm just thinking when I saw your pics
Great memories from a great trip…thanks for the tip! 😉
The pics look softer on the different paper. Very clever!
