In case you heard that I ran off with Rudolph or Frosty, or one of those guys, the rumor is not true! I’ve just been taking a bit of time off for good behavior.

The fact of the matter is that I have my first Maison Blanche paint class scheduled for Saturday, January 12th at the shop! The free class will begin at 10 AM and it will cover the basics. The “do’s and don’ts”. And just how easy painting a piece of furniture can be!

In this introductory, 90 (+/-) minute class, I’ll share with you the techniques that work best for me. You’ll work with sample boards and try out a few of the 30 beautiful colors in the line. We’ll layer colors, distress and wax!

Between now and then it will be out with the new and back to the old! In other words, I’m going to be like the crazy guy at the beach with his metal detector! But, instead of looking for metal, I’m going to be getting rid of the little extras that have found there way into my hot little hands!

Now, this doesn’t mean all sweets, but most sweets. Heaven help my little gummie bears!

Back to the subject of paint, reservations are REQUIRED because space is at a premium! Call the shop at 916/514-5272, and leave your name and phone number. Everything will be PROVIDED EXCEPT your brush. I recommend a 2″ angled Purdy brush. It will last you for years, if you clean it well after each use. Supplies are 10% off, on the day of the class, if you want to pick one up at the shop. Wear old, comfy clothes. We’ll have the coffee on!
