Blue and White Ticking (Let Me Count the Ways!) August 25, 2012
What would you do, if you had a couple of yards of fabric left over from a project?
I dare say that most of us would neatly tuck that extra fabric into some free cupboard space.
Not me.
I have come up with 50 ways (nearly), to use blue and white ticking.
First and foremost on everyone’s must-have list, are blue-and-white ticking tassels!
You do have your blue and white ticking pinwheel, don’t you?
And no one’s life is quite complete, without a blue and white sachet.
And since more is never enough, one must wrap their lavender in blue and white.
Now, if you have young children at home, forget about doing all of this stuff! You have much more important things to concern yourself with! I, on the other hand, do not.
And, no, this post has not been sponsored by the Blue and White Ticking Support Group Association, but donations are always appreciated!
So resourceful, Barbara…love, love your bench seating…it all looks fabulous!!
You don’t think I overdid it a bit?! 🙂
Fun ideas Barbara. Love the heart sachet and the covered banquet cushions.

Hi Karena,
You saw the old fabric! So far, no meatballs have made their way to the lighter seat cushions!

Hi Cynthia!,
You’re a lavender lover, too, I see! How can you not love lavender??
Thanks for saying “hi”!
Barbara
Love all the blue and white ticking ideas…I am so in love with your window seat…I want one so desperately in my dining room…one day….and on another “non-ticking” note…I heart, heart that blue and white pillow on the window seat..Who made the fabric?…Love it too!!!
You know, Shirley, I bought these two beautiful pillows at an estate sale! The house was on the river and had an incredible view! I wouldnt normally buy a pillow that was in someone else’s home, but these were enough to make me break my rule! 🙂
I think all cute, favorite loved the lavendar
Yur collie looks so darn happy
Your banquet looks so cosy…and I love the ticking with the lavender …I need those zig zag scissors…what kind do you have?
Hi Marianne…pinking shears…the highly technical term! I use a pair by Fiskars that work well. Thanks for saying “hi”!
Beautiful and very creative ideas for leftover ticking, Barbara!
I LOVE the banquet and fabulous cushion. I keep going back and forth trying to decide whether to add one to my kitchen.
You have such a beautiful home!

OMG do I LOVE those bench cushions. I do love blue and white ticking too. I have some red and white ticking ready to go into the back of my frenchy hutches. I don’t have little kids at home anymore, but I have little grand babies. Just as good and maybe better. 🙂 xxoo
I’ve seen red and white ticking mixed with red and white toile and I love that, too!
Cute ways to use any favorite fabric!
I went a little overboard Jill, but what the heck!
The tassels look perfect as curtain holders! Thanks for the wonderful ideas 🙂
Hi Claire,
Your comment was stuck in my spam folder. What a very clever way to use the tassels! thanks for sharing!
Best to you,
Barbara
