This week at the shop! June 1, 2022
How was your Memorial Day weekend?
Mr. Wonderful and I had a relaxing few days at the lake. It was colder and windier than I had hoped, so kayaking wasn’t an option. But we did the second best thing and visited a number of garage sales in the neighborhood!
Of course there were the drive-by’s, that didn’t warrant a stop. But there were a couple that were worth the visit. Nice people, too! You may see a couple of these treasures at the shop, should you stop by soon!
This stop was probably my favorite! I found several goodies, including very cool porcelain dinner plates, still in the box, from the Ritz Carlton, at Northstar.
Changing gears…
You probably know that Father’s Day is Sunday, June 19th. Now, you won’t find a new set of golf clubs, for him, at The Treasured Home, but you might see a few other options!
This S’mores Board, with a fire pot, got me so excited, that I brought sixteen of them into stock! I’m going to get my s’more supplies and give it a test drive, today! Great I thought, for a wedding gift, too!
I took a few other photos at the shop, of things that might be Dad-worthy.
When a special day, like Father’s Day, a birthday or Christmas was approaching, we’d ask our dad what he wanted as a gift and he always said “Five good kids.” That and time was all he really wanted from us.
Maybe fill this bad boy up, with his favorite cookies!
My dad was a tough guy to please, in my younger years, but he was always there for me and I will be forever grateful.
If you missed Tuesday’s post…
Since we’ve been focusing more on our clothing, jewelry and accessories lately, our workshop hasn’t been getting the attention it deserves. I love to paint furniture, but there always seems to be other things I need to get done. To be honest, after nearly ten years, I’m also hoping to lighten my load. As training continues, teaching, ordering and a whole host of fun, would unfold!
So, I’m on the hunt for someone that really loves to paint furniture and would love to share that passion and knowledge with others!
This person would work 12-18 hours a week, including Saturday’s. They’d be on their feet most of the time, unpacking and lifting, too.
Of course, like the rest of the “shop sisters”, they’d be a team player, positive and ready to make our customers happy they stopped by!
So, if this is you or someone you know, please email me, at Barbara@thetreasuredhome.com.
Until we meet again, stay well!
XO, Barbara
