T’was the week before Christmas… December 20, 2021
Hello again, friends!
If I were a baseball player, I’d compare this week at The Treasured Home, to sliding into home base! It’s a good feeling, knowing that so many of you have found gifts to share with those you love, at the shop! It’s sort of what I live for! It’s my reason for being!
But wait, there’s more!
Thankfully, I was at the shop today, dusting and fluffing, when the UPS man came our way! Just a few little extra gifting opportunities arrived! Beautiful glass paper weights, with wonderful messages…and a little leather bound journal, to store special thoughts. And sweaters! More sweaters, to keep you or a loved one, all beautiful and bundled up…just arrived!
Christmas week hours:
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: We’re open 11:30-4:30
Christmas Eve: 11:30-2:00

For the creative friend in your life, consider a gift certificate, for a class, in the new year! So many options!
__________
My son Andrew and his wife, Nina, arrived tonight, for Christmas. I’m delighted to have them home for the holidays! We’ll be missing our daughter Betsy, but know she’s doing well.
I’m trying to remind myself that time is a gift. It can’t be squandered, especially when it comes to family. I’ll be spending as much time with the kids while they’re here, but I know I’m scheduled for the “last hurrah”, on Christmas Eve, with my favorite side kick, Darlene.
I also know that Christmas can be a tough time. I’ve been challenged by depression for most of my adult life. Thankfully, medication makes a huge difference. It doesn’t make any sense, as I have little to complain or be depressed about. It’s just a couple of wires that have gone wrong, but that’s ok. I just know to be mindful that Christmas can trigger so many emotions. If you have similar challenges, stay close to those you love and be kind to yourself. God loves you!

Well, darlin’, now that I’ve covered all the important stuff, I’ll hug you in my long arms and send good wishes your way!
Barbara, you have the kindest heart. Enjoy your family and cherish the time together. Merry Christmas
Thanks so much, Carol! All the best to you, as well! 🙂
Dear Barbara,
You are so awesome to share with all of us, thank you. You have such a big and loving heart. Bless you with your children and extended family.
Have a wonderful and Merry Christmas. Big Hugs, Michelle Eaton
