This Sunday, I’ll take you through each important step of furniture painting.  We’ll talk about what to look for, when shopping pre-owned furniture and where to find it.  I’ll share my favorite brushes and tools.  You’ll learn where you can save money and what you don’t want to skimp on.

Our small collection of French treasures, from our recent trip, are at the shop.  My favorites are French linens.  Most are vintage, hand loomed and if you are a fabric geek, like I am, you’ll love them.

I understand that these towels and linens were in every young woman’s trousseau, in years past.  Similar to a hope chest, they haven’t been a part of French life, for years.  Most of these towels and linens are seventy five to a hundred years old.

They feel starched, which is how I leave them, hanging on a special towel rack in our kitchen.  I don’t use them, I just love them!  (You can soak them in cold water for ten hours, then wash in cold water.  The more they’re washed, the softer they become.)

Everyone loves Mary!

We found these great, straight legged, white denim pants, with a frayed hem and Mary allowed us to post this photo of her on Facebook, Instagram and now here! She has a ton of friends who told her how adorable these jeans are on her!  (Normally $69.99 and 20% off, through Sunday!!)
