Selling Silver Plate at My Shop October 18, 2011
I’m a big fan of using silver flat wear for “every day”. We use Grand Baroque sterling, my mother got me started on and a set of silver plate, purchased at an estate sale, years ago. I never tire of it like I did with stainless sets, I used to buy every few years. It makes me happy to use pretty things like this every day and requires little maintenance.
As I prepare to build an inventory for my shop at Veranda Antiques, I’ve decided to sell silver plate flat wear by the piece. It’s popular to mix flat wear patterns, just like it is with china
Today, I shopped for containers to hold the pieces. I had seen it sold at a flea market, in terra cotta pots, but that was too casual for me.
So, today I found clear glass vases, that I think will work out just great! We’ll see.
Next week, I’ll be in NYC and hope to score a few treasures while I’m there. Jane at Empress of the Eye gave me tips on a few places to check out while there. Can’t wait!
Best to you!
Lovely! Old silver plate is so pretty! Wish you were not so far away! Hope you are having a great week!…hugs..Debbie
