Well, that was fast! My first order placed at the Las Vegas Market, on Monday, arrived today! I brought in the last two, in the six-series line of The Gathering of Friends Cookbooks. I’m always amazed by how many of my customers have collected all or part of the series and love them! Expert and novice cooks appreciate the simple lists of ingredients and delicious results. If you joined me on my gilding. Saga Part 1, here is part 2, in the gilding process. I had applied the bole (rust colored paint). Today, I applied the size, (glue) and then the gold leaf, followed by dark wax. My soul sister Amy Howard, showed us a simple way to apply the very delicate gold leaf.
