Just 2 spots left! August 15, 2023
Just two spots left…
If you were thinking about joining us for Friday evening’s Paint & Sip workshop, from 6-8:30 p.m., I hope you will! Remember, Susanne pre-sketches the image, to make it easier than you’d think. On Saturday, our Lazy Susan workshop has room for you, but there’s just one spot left for Maker Day, on August 26th. Sign up here!
Iron Orchid Designs inspiration…
I love visiting the Iron Orchid Designs Creative Tribe group on Facebook, to see what some creative masters are up to. I recently fell in love with this ornament, using I.O.D.’s Cameo mould, placed on a mini picture frame, covered in decoupage paper. Beautiful!
Sorry, I guess I could have cropped the photo a bit. Keepin’ it real!
In honor of tomatoes…
If you’re one of the lucky people who can grow wonderful home-grown tomatoes, in our hot summer months, this one’s for you! I keep thinking I’ll become a gardener, but my few attempts have been massive fails.
As you can see, this was a screen shot, from Instagram. What a summer feast! I gave it a go, when family was visiting. Fresh mozzarella and Shady Lady tomatoes, from The Farmer’s Wife in Carmichael, did the trick!
Our Summer Sale Continues!
Massive savings awaits you and there are still plenty of warm days ahead!
Have you met Terry?
I learned about Terry, while visiting Little Bird Mercantile in Auburn, who stocks her gorgeous work! Terry’s local and has been making wax-cast jewelry, in her kiln, for some time. If you are looking for something unique, take a look at her work, next time your end. They’re selling well and I’ll need to re-stock soon!
Down memory lane…
My sister found this one and it brought back wonderful memories of my dad!
And then….
Guess what!? I’m learning how to play pickle ball! Have you given it a try? It’s really fun! And in other big news…I’m the last person to get an air fryer! My sister sold me on it…the Ninja air fryer with two drawers, from Costco. On my first try, I made bone in 1”thick pork chops, that Bel Air had on sale, last week. Mr. Wonderful asked why we needed and air fryer, but when he tasted these moist, tender pork chops, he changed his tune!
Have you taken the air fryer plunge? What’s your favorite recipe? I’m got a couple of Insta Pots and was afraid this might join them at the back of the shelf…but I’m hopeful!
Well, beautiful…
I thank you for your support and opening up my blog posts each week and for supporting my little shop! Enjoy the week ahead!
XO, Barbara
P.S.: I need to find a new home for this sideboard. The price has been reduced to $179! I’m guessing it’s about 48” long and about 15” deep.
I wish I lived closer, I would be in your sweet shop all the time!! Open a 2nd location in Fresno! 🙂
Hi Kathleen,
Thank you for your kind words!
Much appreciated!!,
Barbara
