New Estate Sale Finds & Other Reasons to Shop at Veranda this Weekend! December 20, 2011

OK. I want to see a raise of hands, for how many of you have finally finished all your shopping! Is that you, Beverly, I see, without your hand raised? I thought so! Bless your heart!

Well if you’re one of the slugs, busy little beavers who still has a few hard to shop for friends on your list, may I suggest you stop by Veranda, this Thursday, Friday or Saturday!

20111220-145602.jpg20111220-145612.jpg I found this very cool Hitchcock chair at a recent estate sale. It’s “signed” on the back! I also found this very darling chair with a cane seat and a very interesting “crest” on the back. 20111220-145857.jpg The Hitchcock chair is at the shop, but I’m having separation anxiety with the other little guy! Then, also in the chair department, are these two counter stools!20111220-150323.jpg Sweet, huh?

At Veranda, I love these two “moving” carolers, that look like they’re from the ’50’s! Sort of look like they’re from the “Howdy Doody” period. I wasn’t there of course, but I’ve seen pictures! Just in time to complete your holiday decor! 20111220-150824.jpg20111220-150832.jpg
20111220-150958.jpg For the gourmet cook on your list, we also have a functional, white enamel gas stove, in the shop!

20111220-151206.jpg Last I heard, all ornaments, new and vintage, will be 25% off this weekend! That’s practically free!
So, if you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed, just know you’re not alone! Just enjoy the process. Nothing has to be perfect. Christmas is not an exact science. It’s a season of celebration…not competition. Your friends and family will be thrilled with tuna helper, as long as you are happy, relaxed and make them feel welcome!

I wish you were here to hug, but consider it done!
Barbara

ooh, i love that retro gas stove! mr. man and i have wanted a vintage gas stove for a long time, but the space we have for a stove is limited (30 inches), and you can’t find an old one that narrow! also, i would have trouble separating from the little crest-backed chair, too!
