Milk Paint Inspiration October 31, 2012

Greetings, dear friends!

Tonight, Mr. Wonderful and I delivered the milk painted dresser to one of my brand new customers, Jana! It’s gone to a great home!

Things were pretty busy at the shop today, but I made a fun bolster pillow out of what was formerly a rice sack!
Pretend that there’s a great photo about ( ) here!

I also prepped my new darling oak dresser for Grain Sack. Prepping just involves cleaning with TSP and removing hardware.

Isn’t she cute? Just you wait! ( An oval mirror had been removed, prior to picture taking.)

This morning, one of my blog friends, Linda, sent “before and afters” of her Very First Milk Paint Project!! Thank you Linda!

Ta-da!!

This sweet table was painted in none other than Luckett’s Green! Nice work!

Have you tried out Milk Paint yet? Any pictures you’d like to show off? Don’t be shy! Any tips you’d like to share? My big tip for mixing milk paint is to shake, rather than stir. Lumps-be-gone! Lids recommended!

Until next time! And don’t eat too much Halloween candy!

The green table looks great! Love the color! Thanks for the hint of shaking the milk paint to mix instead of stirring! Going to try that!

I have not tried milk paint yet. MMS has some wonderful colors though. Maybe one day I’ll buy some and give it a try. I’ll have to find something to paint first though. ha! That little dresser is going to look great in its new color.

Hi Barbara, I love your site! Where do I go to purchase some of the Milk paint (I can’t seem to find it)? I just love what you’ve done with it! Thanks!
