Let’s catch up! October 24, 2025
Hello, gorgeous!
I hope this finds you well! Hasn’t the fall weather been wonderful? We’re supposed to be getting rain this weekend, but I can’t complain!
Speaking of complaining…yes, I’ve been known to do it once or twice!…we’re studying the book of Numbers in Bible study…old testament. Putting it in reference to today, we’re reminded about the importance of a positive approach, to the here and now. “Contentment” is the key word and I love the idea that contentment is not a feeling, but a decision. Imagine that! I had never thought of it that way before. We’re all wearing these bracelets, to serve as a reminder.

Our French Adventure…
It’s hard to Believe that it’s already been three weeks, since we returned home. I’ve been on Jill’s tours at least five times, to the Loire Valley and most of all, Aix-en-Provence, with groups of women, from the shop. While I love Provence, I will happily organize future trips, but I’m hoping to see more of the rest of the world, when I can.

Meet Jill! She’s a local Sacramento woman, who lives part time in Provence. She’s very fluent in French and knowledgeable about the region. She’s been Leading tours for more than 20 years. Traveling in small groups with other like-minded women is a wonderful way to go!

While this tour focused on shopping in vintage markets, I think any future tours will have a broader look at the area. Not everyone loves vintage shopping as much as I do! While we did a number of other things, including a cooking class, an architectural tour, a visit to a winery and goat farm and a trip to the coast, we were able to shop some wonderful markets!

The winery we visited also raises goats!

Terri Lyn knows her way around the kitchen!

The weather completely cooperated, for a tow dip and boat ride on the Mediterranean.
Most of us arrived in Paris for a few days before the tour. Paris is always a good idea and my travel buddy, Darlene and I, had a lovely lunch at the Ralph Lauren flagship store in Paris. I’m totally happy just walking the charming streets of Paris. We stayed in the Saint Germaine area again, which is so centrally located and pretty!
If you’d like to know about upcoming tours, with Jill, let me know and I’ll add you to the list.

Thinking we wanted to save money for shopping in France, we went Economy and it was pretty brutal! Cheryl tells me that each plane model has different leg room, but next time, I hope to bite the bullet and choose Economy Plus
Back at home…
I’m always happy to return to Mr. Wonderful and Micha. Bob sent this picture to me while I was gone and it broke my heart a little.

At the Antique Trove…
I’ve added a bit of Christmas, all of my French finds and the ever-popular fuzzy jackets!

Oh and the holiday issue of “My French Country Garden” has arrived!
I leave Tuesday, to visit family in Virginia I can’t wait to see my grandson! He’s growing way too fast!

If you haven’t already, I encourage you to check out the workshop calendar at The Crafted Canvas! Just click here to learn about Upcoming classes
Until we meet again, stay well!
