It’s a new year! January 7, 2026
Hello, friend!

It’s a new year and today, I’m counting my blessings. I don’t do it often enough, I’m sure.
After living under a cloud for the last month, I’m so thankful to see the sun! That in itself is a true mood-booster!
I hope your holidays were sweet. There have been years when Christmas was a sad time for me, but this wasn’t one of those years. Both of my kids and their families descended upon Betsy and Landi’s new home in Colorado Springs, for the week and we all got along beautifully! Imagine that!

Landi had spent hours decorating and Betsy’s handy new DIY skills were quite impressive! She and YouTube are becoming fast friends!

James is now three and it’s wonderful to see him grow! Another blessing, for sure!

While I wish Andrew wasn’t a dad without a partner, I love seeing what a devoted dad he has become.
This is our garage, where I’ve got several projects in the works. No two pieces of furniture are ever the same and I’m not always thankful for the time involved, to bring them back to life. I often wonder how people can abuse a piece of furniture so badly. Anyway, it’s something you do because you enjoy the challenge, not the profits. I figure that I end up making about $1.15 per hour. 🙂 Thankfully, Mr.Wonderful is always there to help! Bless him!

While I’m counting my blessings, you are surely on the list! My heart was filled, seeing many of you at my holiday pop-ups! You inspired me to “keep the lights on”. I don’t have dates or times yet, but I’ll keep you posted.
I’m busy shopping for new inventory and still have lots of purging and reorganizing to do, so I can make the most of my new little space. I won’t bore you with my to-do list, but it will all come together by spring time.
My time at the Antique Trove comes to an end, January 31st.
Hats off to staff and shoppers at the Trove! Mark and his team are the best of the best!
I’ll be heading over to my spot on Friday, to mark more things down, so there’s less to move out.
The latest issue of the beautiful “My French Country Home” is there, if you’d like to pick up a copy
Well, darling, that’s all for now. Stay well and keep smiling!
XO, Barbara
Hello Barbara,
Can’t wait to see you back in our neck of the woods soon again!!
Hi Barbara,
Happy New Year to you and yours! Sorry to hear you are leaving Antique Trove, but I’ve heard it said that ‘change is good’! ; ) I will try to get over to Roseville soon. Will you be having ‘pop ups’ at your old place on FOB??
