Image Transfers, with Amy Howard’s Copy Cat October 6, 2016
This Saturday, we’ll host our first Image Transfer class, using Amy Howard’s Copy Cat. What I like about this product, is that you can use it with both ink jet and laser jet prints.
In the past, other products have required laser prints. Since I don’t have a laser printer at the shop, this caused me to go else where, in search of a laser printer. Bummer.
It’s really a lot of fun! You can use the product on fabric, wood or canvases, as we’ll do on Saturday. Students will create three transferred image canvases that they’ll be able to interchange on the easel, that will also be painted, for display.
Next up for me, is to take an image to the copy shop and have them expand the image, to use on a piece of furniture, as was done on this piece.
This dresser was discovered at Tattered to Treasured, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I discovered the place, while visiting my daughter, Betsy.
Isn’t it beautiful?
We have one more spot, for our class on Saturday, at 1:00 p.m., if your interested. (3 canvases. And a wooden easel, to take home) Register on line, at www.thetreasuredhome.com/classes, or call the shop, at 916/514-5272, to sign up, over the phone.
Can the transfer be done from a photo?
Yes, you can, I understand.
