Just because you’re on a limited budget, doesn’t mean you have to forsake a new perk-me-up for the home, now and then…especially if it comes from Target.
A few years ago, when I was staging homes for sale, Target was my home-away-from-home. I could find just about everything under the sun, to give a home “new life”. Even now, I’m always on the look-out for new merchandise, or especially nice things, that might work in a budget-conscious client’s home.
You’ll often find accent tables or attractive ottomans. What would it look like to add silvery nail head trim to the ottoman? I think it could look pretty sharp, with two ottomans at the end of a bed, or at a coffee table, opposite a sofa.
I also found a shabby chic bathroom accessory display, along with shower curtains in several lovely fabrics.
I can’t think of anything that can change the look of a space better, faster or for less money, than with decorative pillows. They work magic and take the attention off of a less than wonderful sofa or bed and make it look interesting and brand new. They work wonders!
This “fur” and silk pillow on my velvet living room sofa, came from my friends at Target, a couple of years ago, but don’t tell anyone! Remember, it’s not how much you pay for things in your home, but how you place them, love them and take care of them, that will make all the difference!
Happy treasure hunting!
I don’t know what I’d do without Target!

Opps, I said turquoise pillows, my computer screen was at an odd angle…those are gray…still LOVE them!
