Dr. Oz and Thrifting in NYC November 1, 2011
The great thing about being in New York, is just being here. Does that make sense? Hope so!
This morning, bright and early, we headed over to the Rockefeller Center, to watch the Dr. Oz show.
We’re not talking major “star power” here, but he’s warm and engaged in the audience and just watching the production process is fun!
After a deli lunch looking out at the skating rink, we went “Thrifting”. As you can imagine, Mr. Wonderful was super-excited! I told him he was my subway director and body guard! He wore my backpack on the subway, and said “you took a picture of me wearing your wimpy backpack?” Wimpy? (he was just kidding!)
I don’t know what I was thinking, because there are very few thrift shop finds that you can fit in a carry-on or suitcase. (i wasnt shopping for clothes…like the $450 full length mink coat that probably cost a fortune, new!) But I gave it a shot, stopping at Housing Works and Vintage Thrift.
Afterwards, we walked over to Eataly, which is a pretty amazing Italian market and restaurant.
Altogether, it was a wonderful day! Hope you have a great day, where ever you are!
Great post…a wonderful day in NYC!
What a wonderful day! It looks like a lot of fun!
