Dining Room Table and Chair Sale! June 14, 2015

I love everything about dining room and kitchen tables!  They’re the place where you sit down to enjoy a good meal, with a friend, or your whole family.  It’s a gathering place, a place to play dominoes, or do homework.  For me, setting the table and making a flower arrangement, for a special dinner is more fun than making the dinner!  Who needs to eat?!

As you see, these chairs aren’t antiques or even vintage.  But I loved their shape and boy are they comfy!  After gel staining them, with General Finishes’s Java color and recovering them in a nice linen, they go beautifully with this old vintage oak table.

We stripped the table top and then painted it with a mix of black (Typewriter) and brown (Curio) MMS Milk Paint.  That was followed by several coats of tung oil, so hopefully that will serve as a good moisture barrier.  Did I say coasters? The table base was painted with Amy Howard’s One Step chalk based paint,  in Linen…one of my favorites!

Best of all, the  sale price for all five pieces is $695!

Here’s another oak table, that can seat another two people, with the leaf inserted.  We layered two different colors of MMS Milk Paint.  I love those twisted legs on wheels!  The chairs have been reupholstered in a pretty fabric, with French script. Don’t ask me what it says!

The table, with the leaf and four chairs, are on sale for $495.00!

Last up, on the hit parade, is this gorgeous table with the contemporary metal base.  It a two-piece, 52″ table, which makes it easier to move…to your house!  It was in beautiful shape, when we found it.  All we did was add a coat of Java gel stain to the top.  $395.00 and it’s yours!

The chairs are American made, solid as a rock, with roomy rush seats, painted in Linen One-Step paint and waxed.  $395 for all four!

Remember, we are open until 6 p.m., this summer, Tuesday-Thursday, (and until 4:30, Friday and Saturday), if you want to stop by, after work.

Well, that’s it for now.  Have yourself a wonderful week!
