We returned Sunday night, from a quick, happy four days in Colorado, with family, as Betsy was promoted to Major.

I’m hoping to stick with the Friday/Saturday schedule, so you’ll know what to expect. I also understand that I’m not “the only fish in the sea” and I really appreciate your support!

My Shana delivery should arrive any day! Bringing clothes in to the shop will require a bit of assistance from my resident handyman, Mr.Wonderful, but it’s all good!

A large jewelry order arrived this week. There are some fun, new pieces!

We have a number of beautiful books at the shop, including this one, “Snacking Cakes”! If all goes as planned, I’ll be bringing a gluten-free almond cake in, Saturday, for you to try!

The Crafted Canvas has just installed a very fancy coffee machine and today I enjoyed a delicious vanilla latte! Yummy! It would be a nice treat, to go with your almond cake, this Saturday!

Food for thought…

While “working” at the shop, Wednesday afternoon, I talked with three women in a row. All had adult children with severe developmental challenges. One woman’s husband had cancer, on top of it all!
On my way home, that afternoon, I thought about these three strong women. I hadn’t  known the challenges they face on a daily basis and I’m guessing that there are so many others, just like them.  For me, it goes back to how we never know what our neighbor, or the person in the next lane is facing. It was a reminder to thank God for my blessings and to try to be more compassionate to others.
