Bonjour! Are you ready to think about a French tour? July 12, 2021
Hello Friends!,
I was just talking to Jill, my delightful friend and French speaking American tour guide. I asked her about putting together a tour to France, spring of 2022. Specifically, May 11th.
She brought up the post-COVID changes and I wanted to do a short survey, before making plans. Your input is invaluable!
- Are you comfortable making plans to travel abroad at this time?
- I was considering a week in Paris, for a variety of reasons: a) easy to fly in and out of without needing to take a train to another region, b) There’s so much to see. It’s a great walkable city. Lots to do, including a visit to the famous (and expensive) Paris antique markets. The downside is the cost. Jill says prices are quite a bit higher as businesses dig them selves out of living through COVID. I’m guessing a week in Paris, including tours, lodging and some meals, could run as high as $4,000, plus air fare.
- Jill says the the value is so much greater in Provence and there are always new things to see. I guessing again, but our tour last time cost approximately $2600. It could be $3000 now or higher. Plus airfare.
Please let me know if you’re itching to travel again, like I am. Once I hear of your interest level, Jill and I can start putting together a more specific itinerary and cost.
Thanks so much for your input!,
Barbara
