Our little get-away… Thanks to my sister, Susan, inviting all the sibs to Santa Barbara, for a wedding reception, Mr. Wonderful and I made our second road trip down the coast, in twenty five years!  What?! It was a wonderful time and most of us behaved ourselves! Thankfully, we split the drive down, in two, staying in Santa Cruz and having a memorable dinner at the Shadowbrook, in Capatola.  If you ever get to the area, we highly recommend this gem, first opened in 1947. Summer’s really here! Those of us who have called Northern California our home, for as long as I have, aren’t surprised by really hot weather! Hello, gorgeous! Mr. Wonderful and I have been “summarizing” (I made that up) the Tahoe house, this weekend. I’m the chief cook and housekeeper, while Bob brings out the deck furniture and puts the boat in the water. The temp’s are in the mid 60’s, so it isn’t summer yet, but will be soon. Yay! Hello gorgeous! I returned late Friday night, from Virginia.  This little boy is growing up way too quickly and I don’t want to miss a beat!  He’s so happy and easy to please and he looked so adorable in this hand-me-down astronaut jumpsuit!  I wish his dad was as carefree and happy.  Divorce is so hard! I pray for him all the time and need to remember that God’s at the wheel.
