Well, this is a first. In just a few minutes, I’ll be landing in Lost Wages, for the second time in a week! This would be really cool, if I was a gambler, Celine Dion’s Nanny, or a pimp. Alas, I am none of these. I am excited to be attending retailer training, for Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint, over the next two days. I’m really looking forward to meet some of the other brave souls, who have chosen to follow their creative spirit, and show others how to re-purpose the forgotten, neglected often abused vintage and antique furniture pieces.…
Read the rest >>Well, that was fast! My first order placed at the Las Vegas Market, on Monday, arrived today! I brought in the last two, in the six-series line of The Gathering of Friends Cookbooks. I’m always amazed by how many of my customers have collected all or part of the series and love them! Expert and novice cooks appreciate the simple lists of ingredients and delicious results. Each recipe is designed to serve 6 and each chapter covers an entire meal (often seasonal) along with pictures of each recipe and of tablescape ideas. There’s a 7th volume due out later this…

Today, I applied the size, (glue) and then the gold leaf, followed by dark wax. My soul sister Amy Howard, showed us a simple way to apply the very delicate gold leaf.
