4th of July Banner May 23, 2012
As I mentioned yesterday, Stacey at Conspicuous Design, is letting me guest post at her wonderful blog soon, about decorating for a 4th of July party.
I started out yesterday, creating my deluxe paper cone wreath, for the front door!
I was so excited, by what 2 hours, a ton of paper and glue could create! I hate to let you down, but today’s paper crafts could have been done by a couple of 2nd graders, at their afternoon Brownie troop meeting!
I started out with more paper, cut in large diamonds, folded over into the shape of a pennant and attached to a (clothes line) rope.
I added some little circle cut-outs, topped by the appropriate glue-on letter/number and (Bamm!!) the project was over.
I’m not sure if party goer’s will find it on the pot rack, when they come on the 4th, but you get the idea!
I’m looking for a (FREE) on line part invitation template, for printing. Any of you party divas have any ideas?
Oh, by the way, the wall resurfacing project upstairs is right on schedule!
We might be having a weekend painting party! Now, doesn’t that sound like fun? Then the wood floor project will start mid-June and we could be celebrating almost complete independence from the carpet cleaner, as well as our country’s independence from Britain, on the 4th! Woo-Hoo!
Until next time…
Barbara
Hi Barbara! Wow thats fabulous…so creative, can’t believe you made it. Just fabulous. Hope you have your party and enjoy it!
Now, that’s simple, cute and looks easy enough for the non-creative…like me!! Great idea!!
I like the wreath and the banner. At least you made them yourself and you can be proud of that. I can’t wait to see your painting project and you are going to love being carpet free. We put hardwoods in our greatroom and hall a few years after we moved to our house and later added laminate floors to the bedrooms. We have tiny visitors who tend to drop wet swimsuits on them and laminate works great for that.
That is just so creative and festive…and ahead of the game!
You are getting quite crafty.
I’m thankful that you’ve enjoyed my blog! However, I never use any of the types of products you are offering. I’d do a google search for the kind of blogs that feature your kind of products. Good luck!
