Yay or Nay? Bullet Jewelry May 22, 2013

Every now and then, dear friends, I see new designs or products, that leave me scratching my head.

What are your thoughts on jewelry made from the ever popular bullet?

I am not necessarily in favor of gun control, but bullet jewelry? Seriously? Should I place my order?

Isn’t the cross, made of bullets, just a bit bizarre? Or is it just me?

Recycling at its best! LOL! I suppose it would send a message to a would-be attacker!

There you go! “Hey buddy, don’t mess with me! If you want to see the gun these came from…”
      🙂

I wouldn’t be interested in it. Don’t think any of my friends would either. Very odd and not really attractive.

  3. Jane on May 23, 2013 at 4:27 am

    Really in very bad taste.

    Nay, nay, nay.

Actually they are not bullets, they are shell casings. Unless you are a reloader they are metal that will just end up in the landfill. Here in N. FL and S. GA I think they would do well. And actually I think they are rather attractive.

Well, as some one pointed out, it is recycling…however…NO, NO, NO….just wrong! 😉

The Bullet Jewelry is probably my fastest selling new line in quite awhile. People either Love it or Hate it. No one says Oh , isn’t that nice. I would call this recycling at its best. Originally Harvested from the Arizona Desert. People are now sending me bullet casings to make jewelry for themselves out of their own shells. I’m having fun naming them “Shot thru the heart” “Lucky shot” “Gatling” and that cross you all are not crazy about “Micheal” the Arc Angel that carries a sword around, I think of him as the defender of God. —–Caroly @ Twigs Jewels —Thank you for all Your Comments

I could see a biker chick wearing this badass jewelry, but it’s not for this chick!!

I rather like some of it…and I agree with Carolyn’s comment

    That’s a big NAY from here-why?????

  11. Melinda on May 23, 2013 at 11:29 am

Fabulous!! As a Woman and a competition shooter, I love it! This is definitely recycling at its best, and a clever and attractive Collection of jewelry. I Personally know several ladies who would love to wear something like this. Fantastic idea!

That’s what we love about America! Land of the free!

  13. Traci on May 23, 2013 at 12:59 pm

Have we run out of beads? I think the designs are beautiful and recycling is always a good idea but I would be uncomfortable wearing them but not offended if someone else was sporting them.

    Hi Barbara,
My friend Nel would just love this! She is an avid shooter & quite an expert marks(wo)man. I would purchase something for her. The Doonsday Prepper-type would also love the jewelry.
Personally I would not wear any of it (especially the crosses). I prefer feminine embellishments.
Very creative artist indeed – just not for my conservative style.
Keep me posted. I will definitely get something for Nel.

Bullet jewelry…unique have never seen before. I can think of a few people who would love a piece. A charm would be nice vs a whole bracelet. As far as the cross goes….freedom of religion one of the basic freedoms won with the aid of weapons.

I like the pieces and think it they are very fashion forward. The shells and religious icon paring is interesting as so many wars have been fought because of religion.

Religious wars have been going on for centuries…so true!

I make bullet jewelry and can’t make it fast enough.
