Before I get down to business, can I hear a round of applause, for the beautiful new blog header, Ann Marie designed for me this weekend? The black and white stripe reminds me of the B & W striped valence, in my actual shop window!
Now, where was I? Oh, yes! Beautiful Lake Tahoe! In case you’re wondering, smoke is on the lake, due to the terrible forest fires . Fortunately, none close by. Knock on wood!
If you love a good garage sale, like I do, you would have been in heaven, at this one!
Truly “Old Tahoe”, this lakefront Tahoe home, built in 1929, had been in one family for the last 30 years. It was recently sold, hence, the garage sale of sales!
Now, on to some of the treasures!
I’ll do flips for old signs! What about this wooden shovel? Too bad there is crack in the shovel. Not that I was planning to use it, anytime soon. Still, a good prop!
Of course, everyone should have a wooden duck decoy! I almost like the “duck family on a string” plastic decoys, from Sears and Roebuck’s, better! (Not pictured)
I think that this old enameled cooler is heavenly!
And this man on a horse/desk clock is pretty cool too! I found two sets of old ski poles, some old bottles and a very wonderful old black leather doctor’s bag, that called my name!
Special thanks to old eagle eye, Mr. Wonderful, for spotting the sale! We were able to shop before the sale actually started. Perfect timing!
Look for these goodies arriving by the end of the week, at the shop!
The hunt never ends!
