Kitchen Window-Seat Love September 19, 2011
One of my favorite things about our home is our large, eat-in kitchen. It’s probably one of the things that really sold me on the home, nine years ago. I really enjoy the window seat…especially changing the pillows to fit each season.
This was the very last bunch of hydrangeas I could gather from the yard, I’m sad to say. We eat in the kitchen far more than we ever use the formal dining room. It’s lovely, but not nearly as warm and cozy as the kitchen.
Even when friends come over, we still end up in the kitchen. What can I say? Well, I’ve gathered a few other kitchen window seats for your enjoyment…
Give me a kitchen with plenty of space and good natural light and all sorts of fun things can happen!
Enjoy your day!
Amazing isn’t it how something like a window seat can sell a house. It worked for you and I see it all the time when I ask folks what sold them on their house. It’s usually something seemingly inconsequential, a set of windows, a kitchen island, the hardware
in the master bathroom. I always encourage clients to go with that
inclination, it usually makes hem happy with their home. That first attraction…
So true! It’s been a good place for us.
I’m really looking forward to our Florida adventure in January. Meeting you and the Dixie Highway! It’s always grey and damp here that time of year and some sun will be wonderful!
Do you have any trips planned? That Italian get-away must have been amazing!
Seems like if you have a window seat…that’s where everyone wants to be!
Yes! That and the kitchen island!
Thanks for saying hello this morning!
Hi Barbara
As you may recall, I really want a custom window seat in our breakfast nook area. I love the one in your first sample pic. Do you know anyone in our area that builds/installs custom window seats?
Hi Lendy, Great to hear from you! I’ll check a resource and get back to you. Hope you’re doing great!
