Hold On Martha! Hobby Lobby’s In Town! December 13, 2011

Well, today, I had a long list of errands to complete… like most of us. At the top of my list was making my maiden voyage to Hobby Lobby. They are a company that I’ve heard all of my fellow bloggers talk about on the east coast. I had heard so many wonderful things about this store and was so excited to learn they were coming to town. They’ve moved into what used to be a Mervyn’s department store on Douglas Boulevard, and the place is huge! I found all the things I was looking for, and many things I wasn’t! They stock everything from fabric and Christmas decorations, to crafting supplies of every imaginable type. There are small pieces of furniture, lamps, party supplies, you name it! If you are a crafter, you’ll enjoy the visit! The good news is that you can use your smart phone to look up current coupons, on line, right there in the store. What a deal!

Speaking of shopping, Veranda Antiques is open Wednesdays during the holidays and I’ll be there, slaving away in the afternoon, from 2 until 5:30, but the shop will open at 10:30.
One final thought to leave you with, from my cousin, Carol, in St. Charles, IL…

Have a wonderful day!

Thanks for stopping by, ladies! Hobby Lobby seems to be in an expansion mode, so stay tuned. One may be in your neighborhood soon! Merry Christmas!

Good ol’ Hobby Lobby. It blows Michaels out of the water in my opinion. But alas, not one that I know of in the Bay Area…
So nice to meet you and thank you for leaving such nice comments– I know Sacramento pretty well. I lived in Rocklin for a few years! You’ll have to come to Berkeley so and visit Tail of the Yak — it will knock your socks off. I’ll join you!

Barbara…I have been WAITING and WAITING for Hobby Lobby to come to the Sac area….I used to shop there often while living in Texas! It’s the best…and they have wonderful 50% off sales, often!! LOVE IT! Can’t wait to take a friend out to see it, I’ve been telling her about HL for the past 2 years! Nice to see you at Veranda the other day.

    Cheers,
    Teresa

We had Hobby Lobbys in Dallas, but none here until a couple of months ago. I was so excited to go again and this store is HUGE. I was overwhelmed. I think it’s a really great store. Your last xmas photo had both Dan and me laughing out loud!!

    merry xmas!
