Gotta Love San Diego June 17, 2012
While the kids are in the Apple Store, (Andrew tried swimming, unsuccessfully, with his phone!) I thought I’d send you a note from San Diego!
First of all, as their adoring mother (and MIL), I must say that I have some of the world’s best and brightest kids! (oh, you say that too?)
Figuring out this human totem pole took planning.
It was a really impressive team effort.
Problem solvers, they realized Andrew should be on the bottom.
Not the kind of challenge any kid should tackle recklessly!
Bob and I took some wonderful walks along the beach. Lots of amazing homes. For $1.5 million, you can buy this beach side tear-down. What a deal!
Seriously, we saw this terra cotta piping, used as a fence/planter. Kinda clever!
There was a party going on, down the street and they used my favorite pinwheels to decorate!
Some of the gardens were the size of a postage stamp, but this garden was shaded and lush with foliage.
Of course, I’ve always wanted Captain Hook to “hang” on my balcony!
I’ll be returning home tomorrow night, with a very full heart. Kids have a way of doing that!
Best to you!,
Barbara
Love the totem pole idea! What’s with the Pirates of the Carribean theme on the porch deck? My favorite (since I’m a cow lover) had to be the cow in the garden. Mine would have to be brown and white though.
I loves the cow as well! Believe me, there were many more beautiful sights to see! I love being near water, anywhere!
I have to comment on the human totem pole — so funny!!
Stacy
cute picture of the kids. If only they put Mom on top (with her wings spread, of course) it would have been complete! Glad you had fun in San Diego with mugawumps. You were even lucky enough to miss out on the 106 degree heat.
Oh Missing San Diego; not the property prices. I have kicked myself for not keeping my last condo there as a rental!!
I see your “kids” are so fun loving!
xoxo
