A New (Antique) Farm Table, Coming Soon! December 12, 2012

Hello there,

I hope the week is being kind to you. I hit the ground running Monday morning, after returning home from Philadelphia, Sunday night.

Mr. Wonderful held down this shop Monday afternoon, while I went in search of a wonderful antique farm table, that i had found for sale. It was everything I hoped it would be and I’m looking forward to seeing it restored!

Here she is, parked in the garage.

Isn’t she beautiful? Her surface needs to be sanded, stained and sealed. It should turn out great. I’ve got a thing for farm tables!

The only downside, was that when I returned to the shop, with my newest project, I learned that Mr. Wonderful had mis-read a price tag, on my wonderful Stafforshire dog. Well over a hundred years old! Instead of $125.00, he read $25.00! Boy, this new customer found herself a great deal! Of course Mr. Wonderful felt terrible! (Falling down on the floor, screaming, probably made matters worse! Just kidding!) Just another reason to make sure that price tags are easy to read!

Today, I started work on my next Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint project. Mr. W. had already fixed a couple of the drawers, so now it was time to give this little guy a bath, with the ever-fragrant TSP!

I’m painting him in Linen and then I’ll try my hand with stripes, in Mustard Seed Yellow. I even tried my hand at some of Marian’s signature vines that she paints on her gorgeous pieces.

Don’t look too closely, but this could work!

Before I let you go, you’ve got to take a look at the shop. You didn’t think you were going to get off that easy, did you? Well, here goes!

I found a new source for headbands, since the first few sold so well.

I need to make room for some new pillows, so some of my existing stock is 20% off! Custom made, down filled for $39. 20-22″, great value!

All fresh topiaries are 25% off. Nice gift to give and easy to care for.

Finally, Jini brought in some of her beautiful linen aprons! Ridiculously priced at $10.00 each!

I should have my paint class schedule done before long, if the stars align properly, so stay tuned!

Blessings to you and yours!

I’ve been there! When it comes to finding things, If he doesn’t see it at florist glance, he asks for help. I’m re-training him on that one! Ha!

Ugh…that’s disappointing, but on the bright side, your table is smashing…such a great find!

I guess it all evens out in the end. So minor in the grand scheme of things!
