3 Weeks and Counting August 7, 2012
OK. The house has been torn up for approximately three weeks. Fortunately, I haven’t been sitting around, watching the paint dry, but enough already!
I did some touch up painting today and Mr. Wonderful is upstairs, as I type, with his super-duper nail gun, nailing baseboard to the studs.
I’ve told him he needs to quit his day job, so he can be at my disposal anytime of the night or day, as my personal carpenter. So far, he doesn’t seem to be listening.
Progress is being made, and it’s looking great!
I’m just hoping to move out of the guest room, by Christmas. Yes, I tend to exaggerate. But for someone as anal as I am, this is a real test. Floors: 1, Barbara: 0. Self inflicted punishment.
Probably time to count my blessings.
Until next time, be well.
The floors looks amazing so far Barbara!!! It’ll be worth the wait!
What are you doing, Mr. honeymooner?! Have you left for Baleze (sp!?) yet??
We leave in the morning… supposed to be this morning but the weather pushed us back a day. 🙁
The floors are looking fantastic!…When all is said and done, you will forget all the “self inflicted punishment”!!!
Your guest room will be done soon, ladies! Let me know when you, with or without husbands, will be coming west!
Just hang in there…the floors look wonderful!! And…Christmas isn’t really that far off!! 😉
Love your sense of humor! You were kidding, right?!
The floors are looking great with the baseboard now. What’s with our men not wanting to retire. Oh….they know we’d have them working like dogs all day. Maybe that’s it. I like the whole being at my “beck and call” thing though.
Somehow, the “beck and call” thing just may just be a fantasy, I think.
They are stunning. And in the end it will be all worth it. By the way, if I send a plane ticket out to Mr Wonderful, can he come assist my Mr Not-so-wonderful-with tools. 🙂 God love him.
BTW, I am hearting that huge print in your hallway. Gorgeous. Miss you! xxoo
Looking just great Barbara; I know it is hard to be in the middle of it all, it WILL be worth it though.
How fortunate to have Mr Wonderful to do so much of the work!
xoxo

Looking good, Barbara! Look forward to seeing the fabulous “after!”
What a good man. It’s IS looking great.
Wow, it all looks really nice. It could be worse, I had a toilet in my family room last week! I can’t believe Joaquin writes you on his honeymoon! Maybe they put off Belize because of the hurricanes….
You mean you dont NORMALLY have your toilet in the family room??
We leave in the morning. The hurricane is now over our travel agent says.
It looks great Barbara, and just think how much has been accomplished…can’t wait to see more!!
