This Week at the Shop! December 19, 2017
Mr. Wonderful and I ran away from home, Monday morning and headed for the hills. In my never-ending attempt to maintain balance in our lives, it was time for a get away. (Sunrise photo, compliments of Bob, who is the early riser, in the group!)
We’ll be heading back this evening, to miss the snow that’s forecast for later tonight. Amazingly, I found time to put up the tree! A bit sparse on the decorations, but I’m going with it!
Don’t judge! It’s just the two of us, this Christmas. Keeping it minimalist!
This has been a favorite spot, over the last 36 hours, although we ventured over to north shore for lunch yesterday and Truckee today. I love the town of Truckee! I even found a couple of last minute gifts!
We also managed to hang this wonderful piece, that my shop-sisters had made, for our fifth anniversary. Love it!
Back at the shop, we have a wonderful Paint and Sip class, scheduled for Friday, January 19th, at 6 p.m.!
Register on-line, at http://www.thetreasuredhome.com/classes.
This class usually fills up fast, so I’d recommend you sign up sooner, rather than later.
Many of you have asked when we’ll have monogrammed necklaces back in stock. We’ll, they’re back! Just in time for last minute gift-giving.
We’ll be open normal hours this week, except Sunday, Christmas Eve, 11-3 pm. Sunday hours seem to work for many of our customers, so we plan to remain open on Sunday’s after the New Year. THE SHOP WILL BE CLOSED, CHRISTMAS WEEK, 12/25-1/1, reopening January 2nd.
We’ve been blessed with a very busy holiday season. I hate to even utter the words for fear I’ll jinx it! But with that said, I thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your patronage!
Have a wonderful celebration, what ever that means to you. Don’t fall for the flash of the season. Advertisers, bloggers, queens of Pinterest and Instagram, lead you to believe that their world is perfect. Nope, nada, doesn’t happen. We all have our stuff. Just look for some peace, laughter and love…whether from your maker, your friends, family, or the cat on your lap. It’s all good.
Sending good thoughts.
