Hello, gorgeous!

It feels like summer in the valley arrived without apology, this week! I guess it shouldn’t surprise any of us who have lived here for long.
As a kid whose dad was in the  Air Force, we lived on the east coast, when I was young, where summers were brutal. I guess some can get used to it, but I’d have a hard time!
So, my advice, that none of you asked for, is to get out of the house early in the day.

What’s new…

Nikki, from The Crafted Canvas, gave me this beautiful book, when I expressed interest in bread making. Ryan, her husband, bakes their sour dough each week and I look forward to trying my hand at this as well. What a treat!

Porter Home Collection also creates delicious candles and diffusers.  A customer was in the shop a month or two ago and told me her daughter in law started the business. They’ve done so well, that her husband quit his job and has joined the company. I love a good success story!
