Our Sale Continues Through Mother’s Day! May 5, 2021

Hello, gorgeous!

Looking back at the last week makes me think I should have amended my “mother/son/daughter contract” long ago!  I should have made it abundantly clear that neither of them could move more than thirty miles from home!

What was I thinking?  Or, not thinking!

These two little love birds, Andrew and Nina, are looking forward to having children and I’m not going to miss any of that.  Someone may have to peel me off the wall, after the  all day flying extravaganzas, (where you lose 3 hours, upon arrival, as an extra bonus!), but I’ll be there!

Do you have kids, far from home?  Have any tips you care to share?

Their wedding was wonderful.  Nina’s dress weighed eight pounds!  So pretty!  Best of all, she wore the same veil, with that beautiful train of lace, that her mother wore, when she married her father.

I was so happy that my sister, Carolyn and her husband Ned, along with my brother, John, made the journey, from California, to join me and Mr. Wonderful.  The wedding was in Reston, Virginia, just 20 minutes outside of Washington, D.C. The weather was  perfect!

Andrew asked Betsy to be his “best person” and she fulfilled the role beautifully!

Bob and I enjoyed getting dressed up, for the first time, in a very long time!  The biggest challenge was getting into some “shape wear” labeled “Large”!  Good heavens!!

So, we returned home, close to midnight, Monday night.  I slept a wonderful 8+ hours and spent the day putting life back to the “Normal” setting.

Don’t ask me why, but I decided that this was the perfect day to do a closet clean up.  First my clothes.  Parting is such sweet sorrow, but it has to happen, at least once a year.

I’m not sure how it started, but I became the “Ring Around the Collar” police.  I went through Mr. Wonderful’s shirts and Oxi Cleaned and laundered about four hundred (yes, I exaggerate) shirts.

It’s 10:28 p.m., Wednesday evening and I have just reminded myself that you probably have no interest in seeing a pile of the 37 shirts that now need to be ironed.

OK, now I was supposed to tell you about the sale and new arrivals!  Right?

Even though I wasn’t here,  the Shop Sisters said that everyone had a great time, spinning the wheel!

We made a few improvements today, to our Wheel of Fortune, because it was clear that few of you got excited about getting a tube of  free brush soap, when buying a Staalmeester brush!

Since last week, we’ve gotten in a bunch of gorgeous new cow hides, more Cut Loose clothing, more jewelry, Mud Pie and home decor!

Below, is a photo of the Myra Bag display, as I left it last Wednesday evening.  When I arrived at the shop today, I was amazed at the number of bags that had sold!  I’ll be getting a new order in tomorrow!  We’ll also be bringing in the wallets, that many of you asked for.  Probably a two week lead time.  🙁

Well, my dear, that’s all I know.  Please stop by, if you’re int he neighborhood! We’ll make your gift purchases or gift cards all pretty, if you’re shopping for a Mom in your life!

Wash your hands and say your prayers!
