Happy Valentine’s Day and Shop News! February 13, 2017

Greetings, gorgeous!

Yes, you!

What this vintage mama has learned, is that it’s not the holidays that matter, nearly as much as how we make each other feel, throughout the year. (Deep, huh?)

Mr. Wonderful and I will exchange cards and we’ll make a nice dinner together, in the evening.  Gin rummy and dominoes and the evening news.  What more could I ask for?

On to more interesting things, if I was willing to battle the crowds at a local restaurant, on Valentine’s Day, Bob and I just discovered a new, to us, restaurant.

It’s in the Pavillions, for you locals and while it isn’t much from the outside, the interior has a nice vibe.

Doors open to the courtyard, if it ever warms up again and the food is delicious and very reasonably priced.

Mr. Wonderful, a self-proclaimed hamburger expert, enjoyed his lunch, but still says that Ettore’s makes the best burger.  My salad was a 10, out of 10!

Typically, we spend at least one of our “days off” buying/schlepping furniture.  We did that after our yummy lunch.  This.must.stop.  The back room is ready to burst!

Today, was a get-my-sh**-together day.  For the first time in over a year, I can park my SUV in the garage.  I went to Costco, as well and did a better than average job at impulse shopping!

After all that activity, I treated myself to an amazing homemade bath concoction, which you need to do at least once.  Heavenly!

Here’s what you need:

1/2 Cup Coconut oil

1 Cup Epsom Salts (Dollar Store)

Several drops of lavender essential oil

Lots of hot water (Go ahead. We have plenty, now.)

Grab a magazine and relax for 20 minutes.  It’s a great way to hydrate your dry winter body!

Mark your calendars, for this sale!

Not only will there be lots of new inventory, both new and vintage, we’ll have two classes, a raffle and refreshments!

11:0012:30 Medicine Cabinet Makeover will be the subject of a seminar, presented by Monica, of Balance Within, who for 25 years, has practiced holistic alternatives, to western medicine.  You’ll learn easy to follow, holistic alternatives, to over the counter and prescribed medicines.

Cost: $10.00, which can be applied to any essential oil purchase. Call the shop to register. 916/514-5272
